The 1st Kickstarter for EMP comes to a close in a little over 24 hours: LINK
I received another batch of figures on Sunday, to paint before the official close of the project.
The Italian Sailors that had been Unlocked.
Italian Bersaglieri, that have been sculpted but not unlocked.
French Marins, again these have not been unlocked.
Despite the fact that neither the Bersaglieri or Marins are unlocked, EMP games have decided to allow those packs to be available to investors as an add on purchase at any pledge level.
I have also been given images of the officers and Boxer figures that the sculptor has just completed.
Now of course these have yet to be moulded, but I have been informed that I should have the figures in 2 weeks to commence painting them up and they will be posted to the kickstarter pages in due course.
Overall I am aware that kickstarters for some are risky affairs, but I have every confidence in this project. I think it shows a great commitment that the EMP team have listened to the backers and had some of the officers sculpted well ahead of schedule, in fact they were originally planned for the next wave of releases after this one came to a close. Making the French Marines and Italian Bersaglieri available even though they are not unlocked is another positive move that I hope is appreciated by the backers. I don't say this because I am painting the figures either, it comes from knowing that John and Eric are very committed to this venture and as Wargames Emporium has been around in the gaming community for a very long time personally I have great confidence in the team meeting all the goals they set out too.
Thanks for visiting hope you return soon

Lancashire Games 18mm ACW Infantry Completed
Here we go then, I have completed all the figures required for the launch of the range and spent a few hours taking pictures for them. Please note they are not painted for gaming, but for image use only therefore while I have used the correct historical colours they are not painted as particular regiments.

I spoke to Allan at Lancashire games this morning and he informed me these will be available to purchase in the WEB STORE from Thursday the 30th June.
That is all for this update, there is plenty more on both my workbench for painting and Kevins with sculpting. I expect him to be along in the near future with images of the next wave of greens for this project. He is working frantically on campaign wear figures at present as well as higher command and cavalry.

Union Commands: Rear view, they wear, fatigue/forage caps and kepis.
Confederate commands: rear view, these are in the slouch hats it should be noted that the union commands will intermix with these figures as well.
I will point out that I have only painted one sergeant for each side but all the commands include a sergeant the fact is that for either side it is the same pose.

WIP - Lancashire Games new 18mm ACW range
If you have followed the blog for a while you will know Kevin has been sculpting an entirely new range of ACW figures for Lancashire games. Phase 1 of the sculpting has been completed and 90% of the infantry codes that will be available are due for release shortly.
I have been given the honour of painting all the various poses in the initial release, for use on the web site and in advertising. I asked permission from Allan to be able to show you all some of the work in progress shots as I paint and he was happy for this, and also for me to show the other items that are sculpted and moulds made for that will be released soon as well.
In addition to these there are command packs, that I have not yet prepped for painting. So please note they may show flash and the odd mould line.
I am missing a drummer from the figures top left and a Sargent from the bottom left, both are sculpted just not included here.
Finally the first two Zouave codes, again not yet ready to paint.
I have some other goodies in the large bag of lead that I shall reveal in due course.
